Cranage Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan

Cranage Parish Council are in the process of creating a neighbourhood plan for our parish.  Once the plan is complete and approved by regulatory authorities, it becomes a legal reference document, providing a third layer of planning protection for Cranage, sitting under the National Planning Policy Framework and the Cheshire East Local Plan.

The initial survey of all residents revealed the love that there is for easy access to the surrounding countryside, the abundance of footpaths for walking and cycling and a desire for Cranage to stay that way.  Our neighbourhood plan is seeking to echo these sentiments with policies to protect and enhance our natural environment, our community facilities - such as the much loved Village hall and the football pitches as well as giving some design guide in line with the existing look of the parish.  We are grateful for the help of all the volunteers who have contributed to our plan so far.

Soon, we aim to issue our plan for local comment and consultation (regulation 14) – look out for the events and details about this later in the year.

Here are links to all the supporting documents we have created along the way.  The draft plan will also be published here very soon!

If you have any photographs of Cranage, past or present, that we can include in our plan, please do get in touch – we would love to add these to our library.
